Why the Seal

Evaluated against Alpine Excellence criteria, based on the Principles of Excellence, an independent reference for Competence, Integrity, Transparency, and further quality principles.

SnowRabbit receives the Alpine Excellence Tech seal for a platform that shows where the money goes. Instructors set their own price and keep 80 percent of their fee, the platform keeps 20 percent, and guests see the 5 percent service fee as its own line. Guests search in 15 teaching languages and type the way they talk: the free-text search understands Swiss German, typos and place names in several languages. Every professional on the platform holds the permit under the Swiss Risk Activities Act.

The Story

The idea for SnowRabbit came from a trip to Japan. In Niseko, ski schools, rentals, hotels and mountain restaurants ran through the same company, and everything could be booked on one page. The founders could already ski and would have needed just one hour with someone to show them the area. That option did not exist. Back in Switzerland, friends who teach at ski and snowboard schools told them they have little say over whom they teach, when, and how much they earn. SnowRabbit puts those decisions in the hands of the instructors.
